Justin Hamilton is one of the most in demand stand up comedians working the Australian Comedy Scene today.
2008 got off to a cracking start with Justin receiving 14 ½ stars out of 15 for his trilogy Three Colours Hammo at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. In its initial season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2007, Three Colours Hammo was applauded by industry and audiences alike and was both a popular and deserving winner of the Festival Director’s Choice Award.
He then followed this up with a Nomination for the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with his new show The Killing Joke.
Justin is a regular on radio stations across the country. He can be heard each week on The Wil & Lehmo Drive Show with his weekly segment “Hammo Time with Justin Hamilton”. Justin is also the regular movie reviewer for the Perth Mix FM Breakfast Show, where he gets to put his obsession with the silver screen to good use!
Justin also returned to Triple M with his own new Weekend Breakfast Show, aptly named Toast, with Terri Psiakis and Charlie Pickering.
Justin has consistently sold out solo seasons at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s, has been a regular on the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow for the last five years and the support act on Wil Anderson’s National Tours for the last three years.
Justin started performing stand up in his hometown of Adelaide in 2000 and very quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new talents on the scene. A move to Melbourne, the Australian Comedy capital, soon followed and Justin is now one of the busiest stand ups in the country.
“ An unforgettable performance… his jokes are intelligent, witty and very entertaining. You should not miss this. Absolute stand out.” Adelaide Advertiser 2008
"Hamilton's style is easygoing, conversational and he is genuinely funny. " Adelaide Advertiser, 2006
"Frankly, it's a mystery that this local fella isn't stalking bigger stages and commanding a more monumental wage. He's filthy but sensitive - the kind of delicate lout with whom one would love to knock about. See this reconstructed yob before his tickets cost a whole lot more." The Age, 2006
"A fluent and unique delivery coupled with delicate material makes this a special hour" The Age 2005
